The standards that are expected
The TKGB subscribes to the following standards:
- To provide the public with a clearly identifiable and Trustworthy Quality Mark for Traditional Karate where Safety, Standards and Answerability are ensured.
- To provide a service and a voice to all who practise Traditional Karate regardless of race, religion, and sexual orientation.
- To provide Traditional Karate Associations, clubs and groups with a structure through which they can be fairly represented, and through which they can democratically express their ambitions and concerns.
- To advise local authorities and government of the benefits of Traditional Karate.
- To work within and respect the law of the United Kingdom and ensure that all member Associations and clubs work with the law of the United Kingdom.
- Whilst acting on behalf of the TKGB, no member of the TKGB committees will accept gratuities, gifts or bribes for any purpose or show favour to any one association, club or individual.
- Maintain an appropriate sense of decorum at all TKGB meetings, events and functions and use language appropriate for such events.
- Promote positively on all occasions the image of TKGB and not speak disrespectfully of any member, club or association.
- Promote all forms of Traditional Karate represented by TKGB in a fair and unbiased fashion.
- Give honest opinions and advice to all Associations and clubs on matters of insurance, enhanced CRB and Child protection, and if required, provide Associations and clubs with a service for any such needs.
